Informed by an interest in the constructed nature of urban culture, I create work that incorporates a multi discipline approach to art making that captures the dynamic energy, movement, and material sensibility reflected in all aspects of the culture. I use this as a base to make paintings, sculptures, and mixed media work that explore the complex codified language inherent within urban culture and how we can come to understand it through modernisms own art historical and ideological lens.
